Remember that this is only my personal opinion so don't get to serious about this. I do this only because I enjoy it. Kalistan Has become one of Terras most diverse democracies with 9 parties in Parliament. We can now see that there is a quite clear divide on who you can trust and work with and who you can not. Let me try to pin down where every party is on the left-right spectrum Right Wing - KIP, NUF, CPK Center right - FU Center - NLP, EP Center Left - PP Left Wing - CP, SPoK Both left and right bloc's should be able to form their own governments each term without giving to much power to the centrists. Although taking the centrist position is smart since you can be a deal-breaker in parliament and get a lot of power. An examample of this is the Emblem Party wich just won the presidency. I belive that centrist parties will make huge gains in the future even though right now they are struggling in getting over 10%. I belive that the Right wing parties will probably stay together and form several coalitions unless infighting occurs. If the right were to split I belive it will be about the right of the state. The CPK could definatey come closer to the center if it were to want a smaller LIbertarian Type Government. It could also split due to the FU being a wildcard. Previously a strict fascist party they have now taken a more agrarian turn. I put them in the center-rigth becaus I don't yet know how to view them. After 18 years of KIP presidency the left has learned to set aside it's defferances and work for a more common goal. They often work with the centrist alternatives to make sure the "fascists" stay out of power. This has led to them dropping some of their core issues. To sum it up the left wing in Kalistan s very strong and something the Right wing should try to copy. An analysis of all parties KIP: A Great legend. Currently the most powerful party in Terra. Although it seems like the Old Hawk is getting a bit old to fly. Previously in the early 4200's they were the only conservative and right wing party. But now there is lots of competition among right wing parties. Their electoral succesful will probably be shared with the NUF and the other parties. But whatever party you belong to you hav eto accept that the KIP has in a very short time made a huge impact on Kalistani politics. CP: Right now they are the largest left wing party an the face of Kalistani socialism. Their radicalism might be their end if center left parties hijack the labour movement. They have become what the SPoK was before. FU: Currently the new edgy, Politically incorrect and anti-establishment party that has revived much of Kalistani Populism. They are the wild card of Kalistani politics. NUF: They are a solid party in the world of Kalistani Right wing politics. Without them the right would have to seek to the center to get into power. They are very simmilair to thr KIP wich is a bit of their problem. To stand out more they need to seek new policies. SPoK: A legend within Kalistani politics. Until recently they were the face of Kalistani leftism. I truly admire their party and how they can adapt and play the politics. I am very unsure of their future in this diverse Kalistan though. PP: A centre-Left party that really doesn't stand out that much. Possibly the most boring party. They need to make themselves more outstanding and move more the left unless they want to form a centrist government wich could definately be a possibility. NLP: A former phenomenon, a current questionmark. They seem to right for the left and too left for the right. They need to seek out their interests more. Also change their name to the Liberal Party imo. CPK: The most Libertarian party in Kalistan they have much Kalistan for independent progress. EP: Oh where do I start. The smallest party in the parliament just won the presidential elections. That is truly amazing and I admire them for that. They seem like a very centrist party that will make huge gains in the future. Right now all eyes are on them, waiting for their move. Thanks for reading. -Kalia |
