Bill: Leading the Way on Women's Equality Act
Details

Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: June 4218
Description[?]:
I do not know who passed this law in the first place, but this is not the meaning of a fair and equal Beluzia or a feminist Beluzia. Prostitution is a form of exploitation of women and male dominance over women, and a practice which is the result of the existing patriarchal societal order. Prostitution has a very negative effect, both on the prostitutes themselves and on society as a whole, as it reinforces stereotypical views about women, who are seen as sex objects which can be used and abused by men. We in the BRRP condemn the current policy enforcing criminal sanctions against women who offer sex in exchange for money. We recognize that commercial sex workers are subject to economic coercion and are often victims of violence, and that little is done to address these problems. We have received the support of feminist and human rights groups all over Beluzia who want an end to this disintegrating law. If we continue to endorse prostitution as a human right, it won’t be supporting the women who might have no choice, but rather the pimps and buyers of sex who have all the choice in the world. We ask National Congress to consider our proposal and the many female lives that have been destroyed because of this practice |

Message | We will disagree, because prostitution in Beluzia is legal for both women and men. Plus, even if we make it illegal, it will remain and become underground, and it will be harder to regulate. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
