| My fellow Saridaners, whether Duntrekker or Iftgoeroon: This August's election was a great victory for moral Saridan. It saw the defeat and destruction of a brutal, fascist, racist, and pro-apartheid regime. I stand here today to make it very clear that fascist rhetoric, apartheid, and blasphemy are not subjects that will any longer be tolerated or entertained by the people of Saridan. Neither will be partisan paramilitaries strong-arming the populace. We are currently working to make these illegal. Hereby, on the behalf of the safety of the people of Saridan, I request that out of selfless and non-ideological love of country, love of Ariel, and religious principles, that the paramilitary forces of this country, which cause so much woe and anguish through ideological violence, to dissolve themselves as this law awaits ratification. The government may be willing to be lenient in sentencing, or to offer pardons altogether, to those paramilitary members who turn the other cheek and consent to inactivity now. Further, we feel that some penalty will be justified under the law for our former Staatspresident Niels Geert. Meneer Geert, you made mistakes that dangerously harmed many people, children's education, healthy racial dialogue, the well-being of the church, and the rights of citizens to live free from fear of hate crime and partisan violence. I call upon you, and your KvdNH comrades, to recant your views and apologize to the people of Saridan, and if you truly believe, at the very least, to apologize to your lord Ariel, who will show mercy to his children who seek it. We are now on a road to cultural reconciliation. The path will be long, it will twist, and it will be arduous after the things that have occured and the distrust that exists on both sides, but we will reconcile, rebuild, and learn to thrive together and with our neighbors, who have been neglected and threatened for a long four years (Gijsbert Oosthuizen, September 17th 4218, said in Koeistad before the Volksraad) |
