Message | I agree with this manifesto. I hope the centrists will accept the compromise between nationalized and privatized services, however I somehow doubt it. Could you consider adding the creation of a central Government bank (with all other banks private)? |

Message | It is a much more moderate manifesto than we are used to from the communists. If you could see your way to removing the extremely liberal adoption law change and the unnecessary increase in corporation tax, I would be willing to negotiate. Randolph Gilbert Majority Speaker of the House |

Message | This manifesto, particularly with the removal of the abortion law change, is definitely more moderate compared to others in recent history. My party believes that it's a good starting point which shows some willingness in Left Bloc ranks to compromise, and negotiations on some of these issues would be welcomed. The SSPB mentioned some sort of 'central bank': that is something we'd support on it's own. The BDGP's main concerns are on how much free tuition would actually cost, and whether a nationalised rail company is needed. Regulated competition between TOCs is good for passengers, so adding a state-owned company isn't necessary. Then that then raises the question of how much the proposal would cost, and whether it's worth spending that amount of money on something many believe isn't economically viable. Damien Herbert Environment and Tourism Secretary BDGP Chairman |
