Message | To The Presidium, As the creator of this bill, we feel it is an infringement of human rights to make military or civilian national service mandatory. People should have rights: these include the right to choice and the right to safety. If you do not wish to, you do not have to. It is a lie told that this will weaken our military as the young people forced to serve in the military are inexperienced and many can hinder rather than help. Yours, Inlay Goway, Secretary of the SMP. |

Message | M.Speaker, I think the bill is unnecessary. This is no infringement of human rights, and mandatory civilian service or military service will be a great boost to our young adults. Philippe Henna UDHFU Chairwomen |

Message | Mr. Speaker, In what way is military or civilian service this a boost to our young adults? Compulsory military service can only hinder further education and employment. After they finish serving, the chances of them finding employment is low. To have more intelligent citizens is a step on the pathway to success. Inlay Goway, SMP Secretary |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Inlay Goway is talking nonsense. The military offers a wide range of skillsets, as it employs persons from a wide range of fields, including mechanics, engineers, doctors, tailors, computer specialists, and so on. Additionally, the current law is not about compulsory military service. Graduates can engage in civilian national service as well, which would involve them working in the public sector. They are paid when they do this work, and they are guaranteed these temporary jobs; this allows them to have work experience so that they can easily find jobs after they're done. -- Linton Jager, Chairman of the GNRG, Minister of Trade & Industry, Vice President of 2GDR Lodamun |

Message | Mr. Speaker It is frustrating for us that your ignorant policies mean young people are diadvantaged. Firstly, The rate of pay for these civilian national service jobs are, put quite frankly, terrible. Young people are later being put in financial trouble by not being allowed to find early employment and good pay. Secondly, The lies you are telling that this gives people experience is a fair one, however if it is experience the employer is looking for, they would employ an older person with more experience. Thirdly, The compulsory nation civilian or military service means university and further education quality is lacking and more people are choosing not to go at all. University and further education is important. If they wish to serve in the military or complete civilian national service, they can, but the fact they must do this before getting further education is a disadvantage to the future of Lodamun and the Lodamese people. Finally, At the SMP, we believe that people should have the right to choose their future, and that this current legislation is an infringement of human rights. The right if choice is very important. How would you feel if that right was taken from you, Mr. Speaker? Inlay Goway, SMP Head Secretary. |

Message | M.Speaker, It is really frustrating for the people of Lodamun to see how blind Inlay Goway is. Firstly, The rate of pay for Civilian National Service is not terrible and our budget for internal affairs is enough to clarify this and there has been no complaints from anywhere on these parts and we have a working DWC. Secondly, experience is no magic, people earn it and its government's responsibility to provide opportunities to do so.For young adults,i think it will be a fantastic experience for them to work with experienced people.Kind of an early internship. Thirdly, Nonsense.During high school period a student goes through an enforced curriculum. There is no choice during school education systems(yes, there are some optional subjects but thats not the point),but after that students are entering into a vast world of opportunities and choices. And providing them to interact with Civilian services or military service, will give the students enough knowledge about which studies they should pursue in higher studies to get their desired jobs. This is effective since the government has its hold in almost all working, service sectors.Be it industrial or space research. Finally, I think SMP have nonsensical beliefs about human rights,as we said students are free to make their choices,we are only providing them some sense of responsibility and direction so that our young adult can make edible and productive choices Pepper reiga Ministry of Internal Affairs |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I don't think you are quite getting the points I am making. To analyse your ideals, Point two says that experience is no magic. Why do you contradict yourself, as you say this is giving young people good experience, then saying they don't need it all. Point three is wrong. These services get in they way of education and should at least only be done if, one, they have completed their desired education level first, and two, if they want to do this more than going into more education or employment. We still believe this is an infringement of human choice. Geogren Imwan, Leader of the SMP. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, While we do recognize the intent behind this bill, we must ask caution in the matter. While the profile afforded to military service versus civilian service is, in our opinion, definitely undue, abolishing the service altogether could create massive gaps in our social system and, in addition, be detrimental to the culture of solidarity within our nation. We propose to limit mandatory military service and improve pay for civilian service workers instead, which would circumvent the issue of conscience and create a more equal and fair basis while maintaining the benefits of civil/social service. Thank you. Robert Calavo MP, LP3 |
