Message | Tax revenues from all these refugees will eventually give us a return on our investment. We see Likatonia as a beacon of human achievement. Our education system produces some of the best and brightest minds in Terra, and we don't have a doubt that refugees who wish to come here love this country and would work their hardest to be able to stay here. |

Message | But they should still have to qualify for citizneship as the other immigrants have to. |

Message | The current budget of 20,000,000,000 LIK for Education and Culture and 15,000,000,000 LIK for Health and Social Services should be able to absorb the temporary increases sought for in this bill; if not we are running a annual surplus of 2,820,497,158 LIK which could be transfered to either of these ministries upon provable need. |

Message | The AM AAP agrees that, on the surface, it looks like we can absorb immigrants. The AM AAP further agrees that many immigrants will later become productive members of Likatonian society. However, that isn't the situation we see here. We are talking, here, about unregulated immigration of 'refugees'.... and yet, it appears that other nationalities can now claim 'refugee' status.... for no reason. And, if they do... we allow them free and open access, AND financial incentive. This is not the same as allowing 'genuine' refugees (i.e. those that are seeking 'refuge' from a cataclysmic event, or some form of oppression) in.... this is opening our borders to ANY citizen of ANY nation, who thinks he or she might be able to get a better pay packet in Likatonia. And, when they get here, we are going to pay for their schooling, too? 35 Billion LIK of Education and Social funding, is not going to last long once it has to deal with the entire Likatonian need, AND open borders. |

Message | We beleive that refugees flowing into our country are long term drain on the economy. People that enter Likatonia are seeking a peaceful life, and these are the sort of people we want. Many refugees are already educated, therefore schooling needs are minimal with perhaps the exception of language courses. Frequently people who adopt another country in the longer term repay that country back many times over with a strong work ethic and a richer culture. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
