Bill: Responsible Hunting and Fishing Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Centre Party of Gaduridos
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2063
Description[?]:
In many areas of Gaduridos, hunting and/or fishing are important to local economies and tourism. It makes no sense for the national government to oversee regulations for those areas when local residents understand the needs of the community and of the local ecosystem best. Therefore, we propose that regulation of hunting and fishing be left to local governments. Further, the ministry of Agriculture is to form a working group on Fisheries, hiring skilled marine biologists to set overall guidelines for local governments when they consider regulations for sustainable fishing. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government regulation of hunting.
Old value:: Hunting and fishing activities are restricted to designated areas and periods.
Current: Hunting and fishing activities are restricted to designated areas and periods.
Proposed: The matters of hunting and fishing are handled by local governments.

Message | The national government should allow different hunting and fishing policies in different areas, where the climate and seasons as well as the species will be different. This is best handled at the county level. |

Message | We completely disagree with this. Hunting and fishing must be restricted to designated areas and periods as much game also migrates. The local governments cannot protect our wildlife like the national government can. |
