MessagePresidente della Repubblica Manolo di Largisini:

"With the resignation of the LP ministers from the Massa government, I have decided, in consultation with my fellow members of the Confederazione Capitalista, to introduce this government.

It would retain the currently held posts occupied by ministers from MSI and AI, but it would fill Foreign Affairs, Defence, and Trade and Industry with experienced Confederazione Capitalista Deputies.

For Foreign Affairs, none other than my fellow co-founder of C.C., Rachele Delfina, will take on this portfolio. Lodovico Luzzatto, our Defence spokesman, will take on the role of Defence Minister, and former Infrastructure and Transport Minister Apostolos Masin will head Trade and Industry.

Long live the Republic! Long live the government!"

I do not want to say that I am happy with this change, as it would be very unpolite to do so in the face of the LP. However, if finally MSI, which was a left party, can agree with CC, with whom we agree on so many positions, then we are indeed pleased. This is a light in the dark. A smile amongst a tragedy as we do indeed regard the collapse of a left to right experiment as a tragedy. It could have entered the history books as a sign of unity and reconciliation. But it went down as a continuation of the government chaos.

As Head of Government I take full responsibility of the catastrophic failure, excuse myself before all of parliament and the Istalian people, and issue a plea for one more chance. If this coalition fails. With C.C. With whom we agree so much, that we endorsed their presidential candidate, then my official resignation will be in the President's mail box on the next day.

So help us god!

MessagePaolo Conti, MSI chairman

"Well, I do believe that I was the one that came up with the idea. Just saying. Mr Massa, my friend, there is no need to say that it's your fault, as it isn't. It's my fault. From the start I knew that we, the MSI and the MR, would disagree with LP on a lot of subjects, and just now we see on how many that was. It was foolish of me to not originally propose a coalition with the CC. I'm sorry for my mistake.'

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.

Random quote: "Public schools are government-established, politician- and bureaucrat-controlled, fully politicized, taxpayer-supported, authoritarian socialist institutions. In fact, the public-school system is one of the purest examples of socialism existing in America." - Thomas L. Johnson
