Message | Members of Congress, I am stunned for words! I cannot see any reason for any of these proposals to pass, and as the Hosian Front has failed to provide any I shall simply respond to each Article in turn. Firstly, Public Blasphemy being a criminal offense! What! Is there no such thing as freedom of speech? I assume that the Hosian front would not support it being a criminal offence to blaspheme Ahmadism, or Yeudi, or Thetanism, what makes Hosianism any different? They are all the worship of an imaginary sky-fairy and are all equally ridiculous. Everyone should be allowed to think what they want and do what they want regardless of how other people think. In the same way that you shouldn't be punished for your authoritarian attitude, nobody should be punished for not adhering to your belief system. Secondly, everybody being forced to wear according to religious commandments. Yet another attempted withdrawal of the human liberty to act and do as one wishes. I see no rationalization for this article and defy anyone to support it. In relation to Articles 3 and 4, forcing all schools to be religious in nature and mandating prayer in school. We in the SSPB have made our arguments against religious schooling previously here: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=519426 However for now I will just say that indoctrination into religion is a violation of the rights of the children and harms them academically and morally (OOC:http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160289611000912 http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1088868313497266?journalCode=psra https://www.bu.edu/learninglab/files/2012/05/Corriveau-Chen-Harris-in-press.pdf ). And finally, a mandatory membership of a state religion is a violation of not only the secular values that I hold dear, and not only to rights of all to freedom of speech and freedom of expression, but perhaps most importantly it is a violation of the freedom of thought of all citizens of Baltusia which is something none of us should be comfortable with. To conclude, I ask you all members of Congress to vote against this bill as it is a violation of the democratic values you hold dear. It is clear the Hosian front shares none of these values with us and as proof I give you the following: The Hosian Front has officially applied to be a member of an organization named 'The Right-Wing Brotherhood' which champions among its principles and I quote: "...Fascism, [and] Radical Nationalism". If any of you vote in favor of this bill then I guarantee the electorate will remember it and you will be punished deeply for decades to come. Gilbert Combs (Leader of the Opposition) |

Message | Mr Combs, There is freedom to speak among one another, but talk against God is evil. It does the person bad and sets them on a course for damnation. And, no, Hosianism is very different. It is the light and the truth. All of these proposals are for the good of the souls of this country, so that they may not be cast into eternal damnation. Regarding religious schooling, again, we must prepare our young people to live a life free from evil sin. It is better for a child to be good and pious than to be athletic, or 'academic'. Those are secondary. We ourselves are not 'fascists', but indeed we are nationalists. In that we love Baltusia and want it to be holy and free from the sin you idolize.
