Message | Members of Congress, This is a total neo-liberal disaster. Cutting at schools, healthcare, trade and internal affairs for no reason. Even their tax cuts don't justify this - it would lead to 50 BILLION BLD of over-taxation. Why should we not spend the money we get? And why should we take it from the young and the sick without reason? Raylan Cantrell Hosian Front Finance Spokesperson |
Date | 11:06:17, June 28, 2017 CET | From | Patriotic Party of Baltusia | To | Debating the Budget proposal of January 4233 |
Message | Finance Minister Mechling, Whilst our party would normally support government-proposed budget plans as part of any coalition deal, we must advise that the stripping of the trade and industry budget in such a way could ruin our economy. In addition, more than halving the internal affairs budget will have an adverse effect on security and certainly lead to a reduction in the number of police officers on our streets, which will play into the hands of the communists and other anarchists. Can I ask, therefore, is there any reason we need to save so much money? Randolph Gilbert Majority Speaker of the House |
Date | 19:14:25, June 28, 2017 CET | From | Baltusian Democratic Green Party (BDGP) | To | Debating the Budget proposal of January 4233 |
Message | Members of Congress, On this matter, my party completely agrees with our allies in the Patriotic Party. We see no reason for these significant cuts which we fear would harm all Baltusians, particularly working families. My party was in control of finance for the last few decades until now, and the Centrist Alliance has ensured our country has a surplus which enables us to spend money where absolutely necessary, but without bankrupting our country - something the opposition parties would do, should they enter power. As a result, the BDGP will abstain on this budget proposal. BDGP Chairwoman Miriam Heston |
Date | 19:15:02, June 28, 2017 CET | From | Secularist, Socialist Party of Baltusia | To | Debating the Budget proposal of January 4233 |
Message | Members of Congress, Is there some global economic catastrophe of which all but the Centrists am unaware of? What could justify cutting over 112 billion dollars net from our countries budget? It will be a tremendous burden on the people and sectors in our country which need it the most. Katelyn Osbourne (Financial Affairs Spokesperson of the Secularist, Socialist Party of Baltusia) |

Message | Mrs Heston I resent that remark. I do, however, agree with the other points you, Mrs Osbourne and Mr Gilbert have brought up. Raylan Cantrell Hosian Front Finance Spokesperson |
