THE PRIME MINISTER's CABINET 1. The Prime Minister is the Head of the United Kingdom Government. 2. The Head of State appoints as Prime Minister the member of the House of Commons who can command the confidence of the House of Commons either; - When the Prime Minister's party wins a majority in the House of Commons - When the Prime Minister's party don't win a majority but is able to form a majority coalition with another party - When there is a Hung Parliament and no one want's to form a coalition but still agree to allow a party to govern with a minority government. 3. The Prime Minister remains in office until either: - Following a General Election, the Prime Minister is no longer able to command the confidence of the House of Commons, or - The Government loses a vote of no confidence in the House of Commons and at the same time a new cabinet is proposed. - The Prime Minister's cabinet resign. 4. The Cabinet shall consist only of either; - Members of the Prime Minister's Party who shall have a majority in the House of Commons. - Members of a coalition between The Prime Minister's Party and another party. - Members of a Prime Minister's party who is able to form a minority government |
