MessageHonourable Senate,

We do not see how this new budget helps the marginalised within our society. The truth is that the poor will not get better off if there are more services within the National Health Service. Sure they may live longer lives, because medical treatment will allow them to live longer, but will those lives be fulfilling? Since they have no help from the government they would continue to be poor.

What would the PPK do? As a pragmatic party we would cut healthcare and education and prioritise spending in agriculture (we agree wholeheartedly with the increase in the budget there), trade and industry, science and technology, tourism and finance. Why? Because these industries help people make a living, and that is what we believe is the a person's fundamental right. To make a life for themselves, not the life that the government want them to lead. We will make them rich, not just give them things as if they required government aid.

MessageHonourable Members,

The budget presented is mainly oriented towards equality and justice for all citizens. The rise in the budget for education will enable each and every child of Kanjor to pursue not only secondary education but also to achieve college and universities by the means of additional scholarships proposed on social status.

More help shall be proposed to the farmers to enhance the national production and hence decrease the use in importations.

The injection of 5 billion KRP in our health system we help to improve the infrastructures and hire more and better qualified personel.

MessageHonourable Senate,

I do not doubt the Honourable Minister of Finance's morals. However, we cannot see how this proposal gives any sort of equality to people at all. We agree that a further injection of funds helps to hire more and better qualified personnel. But where does the Honourable Minister think these people are going to be from? Poor backgrounds? I think not.

Whilst we cannot deny that some may be fortunate and skilled enough to work their way into jobs within medicine, I can say with some certainty that an overwhelming proportion of medics originate from wealthy backgrounds. If we link this back to the Minister's first point, we can quite clearly see that the UPD are not bringing equality for all of its citizens.

In regards to education, this budget would not have to be as large should the government only pay for those who struggle to afford private care. This introduces equity, where the poor are helped so they can have the same opportunity as those who originate from wealthy backgrounds. Again, I do not doubt that the Minister genuinely believes that she is trying to further equality, however I must tell her the fallacies within her plan.

The truth is that increasing the budget in education does not achieve anything. We need to focusing on making sure that children read books at home with their parents, learning new things before stepping foot into a school. It is scientific fact that children who read with their parents are more likely going to be successful in school. They are also more likely going to originate from a wealthy background.

Therefore, the PPK suggests that the budget be prioritised so that these parents can make a good living, understand the necessities of teaching their children, and giving their child the best possible start in life. The PPK advocates for a long term plan that would see Kanjor having the smartest, and the most successful students in the world. However, and unfortunately, this plan can only be implemented if this budget is rejected.

I hope the Honourable Minister comes to see why she is incorrect. Once again, I am certain that you are very sincere in your proposal, yet I would hope that you understand why your proposals would not work.

MessageHonourable Members of the senate,

It is undeniable that the major personnel in the medical field arise from wealthy families enabling their siblings to pursue those costly studies either here in Kanjor or abroad. However the rise in the educational budget has the following uses:
1. Hire more secondary teachers to enable the creation of less crowded classes in our high schools,
2. Renovation of various High Schools throughout the country,
3.Increase the number of scholarships that are currently made available to brilliant students and thus increase the amount of scholarships based on social grounds for any students having achieved good standards of secodary education.
