Bill: Parliamentary Privilege Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Secularist, Socialist Party of Baltusia
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 4236
Description[?]:
Members of Congress, If the Hosian Front had their way then blasphemy would be illegal. If this were to come around and then say the Hosian Front were to dissolve and all of Baltusia were to be secularly inclined then there would be no way to change the law. It is only right that members of Congress should be allowed to say as they wish despite whatever laws are in place as only then can such laws be changed in the future. And while I have used that example, this bill does not only apply to that scenario but any breach on freedom of speech possible by any party. Marva Read (Shadow Secretary of State for Justice) |

Message | Madame Read, To be clear, what format would the vote to overrule take in your proposal? Would it be a 2/3rd super majority required? Otherwise, if it was just a straight majority vote, any majority government of the day could continually vote to remove the privilege any time an opposition representative got up to speak.
