Message | Mr Speaker, I see no possible reason why any sane member of this place should support such a preposterous bill. I am a firm believer in our armed forces and the work they do, but to allow for the use of land mines, that past conflict has shown do more damage to civilians over many decades after war, is barbarism at it's clearest. To allow for the use of Chemical and Biological weapons is nothing short of the policy of tyrants and dictatorial regimes, and they have no place in the modern theatre of war. This is a ludicrous proposal that will cost the lives of many thousands to come should it be allowed to pass and I urge all members to oppose vehemently. |

Message | Mr Speaker, As a minor nation on the world stage, I do not believe it sensible to go out of our way and come to blows with other members of the international community. |
