Description[?]:
Currently our nation's healthcare system is one of the worst in the world. We plan to fix that through our series of healthcare bills, known as MurphyCare. Under MurphyCare more people will have access to healthcare and that healthcare will be of higher quality. Let's go through the policy proposed under MurphyCare Part II: ADVERTISING RESTRICTIONS This bill is to do with health requirements. Advertising for harmful and addictive products (such as alcohol and cigarettes) should not be aired on television when children can see it and believe that it is okay. As well as this current advertisements do not have warning messages of any sort and many people will not know the consequences of smoking or drinking large amounts of alcoholic beverages. We believe that by putting in restrictions so that children cannot see it (the advertisements can be aired from 8:00pm to 8:00am) and they have strong warning messages to inform the viewer that the product is harmful to your body and can cause an expensive addiction such as "WARNING: THIS PRODUCT IS HARMFUL TO YOUR BODY AND IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE". This ensures that our people understand that by consuming these products it is harmful to their bodies and that it can be addictive. |
