Bill: Call for early elections, April 4239

Details

Submitted by[?]: Commons' Majestic Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: December 4239

Description[?]:

The resignation of the Republican Party from the Council led to the unrepresentation of 5 Million Dranlandians. Furthermore, the current Cabinet still has the Republican Party in it. And, the failure to pass a new Cabinet proposal puts into question the legitimacy of this "government."

Hence, we, the Commons' Majestic Party, express our non-confidence to the government of the day, and we call for early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus.

This government should FALL.

MessageMr. Speaker,

There is more pressing matters right now than the election of a new cabinet. We have a lot of issues we are having to fight through because of the former government leaders (CMP) so we are not concerned about the formation of a new cabinet right now.

I Yield,

Holden Kingsley
President of Dranland

MessageMr. Speaker,

There is no government without an approved cabinet proposal. What is the IDP talking about?

Also, why is the President in this chamber? He can't be allowed in here.

I yield.

MessageDear Rocky Damien,

The President sits and presides over these meetings as per unique Dranish/Dankuk Tradition. Comes from the days when the Monarch of the Great Kyo Empire would hold court and oversee parliamentary activities.

In addition we have a developing situation with the rebels in Loren Shire and dismissing a cabinet during a time of armed conflict isn't a good idea usually(except if the new cabinet is basically a War Cabinet).

I yield

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.

Random quote: "The problem is big government. If whoever controls government can impose his way upon you, you have to fight constantly to prevent the control from being harmful. With small, limited government, it doesn't much matter who controls it, because it can't do you much harm." - Harry Browne
