MessageLavinia Maggi, Whip of LP:

"What is it this? And what means "too soft"? How the limitation of personal freedom inside a penitentiary allows the criminals to "live their lives as if they were innocent and free"? What have to do the right to the vote to be recognized to any citizens with a "live as innocent and free"? This is pure nonsense!
And if you don't know it, we are a Democracy and among the most basic principles regarding the Judiciary there is the Presumption of innocence.
Such a reform could allow anyone to accuse anyone which for this reason should suffer an inacceptable interference into his privacy! Also when he did nothing!

And Alternativa Istalia would be a bunch of fascists? With such a bill what is it the PCI instead?"

Dear Colleagues,
Can you explain us, why a man that stole some money to support his family have his right to vote remove?
We also want to know why should a person accused of convicting a crime be destined to suffer from endless accusations of convicting such an act? Because we want you to understand that people whose DNA would be recorded would not be able to be treated the same way as all others. This reform will mark them for life. Yes, they would not only live in fear for the entire time but also they could be ridiculed, hated and feared just because of that! Let's say that they live in a poor, conservative neighborhood. They are accused of convicting a crime. Now, there is a possibility that the fact that they'll be monitored will cause their status to fall. I lived in such a neighborhood. Do you know how dangerous that is?

That is why we propose that everyone's DNA be recorded, for security sake as anyway when you are issued IDs or Passports, your DNA is recorded as well. So why limit it to prisoners? Furthermore full DNA recording can simplify all areas, from payments to as mentioned travel.

We could understand if you would want to record the DNA of all citizens, though.

MessageBeniamino Massa, AI Leader,

You are trapping us and halting the coalition building process. We will vote in favor of this bill as we have been fighting for the implementation since the beginning. If to be in power, we have to betray the foundation of the party, then we are better off on the opposition benches and will want to see how you try to gather the numbers.

We sincerely hope that should this bill not pass, and it probably won't, you will forgive us for staying with our principles.
With all due respect.

Message"It has been almost a year since the election now. Istalia has no Infrastructure and Transport minister and no Environment and Tourism minister and the premier belongs to the second-smallest party in parliament. Due to President Delfina's dithering, and I suspect in-fighting between the right-wing parties, Istalia has become the laughing stock of the continent.

You try to blame the Communists but we are simply doing our jobs - we are the opposition. It is not our fault that the right is so fractured and effectively at war against one another. PCI is doing a good job of showing just how divided the right is."

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.

Random quote: "The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect
