Message | Mr Speaker, recently, the house has passed the resolution, resolution called for withdrawal of Terran Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Resolution received 208 ayes, 114 nays with 28 abstaining from vote. Recording of the voting and debate may be found there: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=528548 Acting in compliance with mentioned resolution, we now move treaty withdrawal to the vote, and here is why. Terran Declaration of Human Rights, is more like declaration of privileges. It stripes our legislature from control over many, essential parts of our political, economical and social system. Here are articles we firmly oppose. Article 3 strips us from control over our own system of granting citizenship. Article 4 strips us from control over under age schooling. Article 5 strips us from control over working hours, more specific, it does not allow deregulation of working hours. Article 6 is another attempt to control our own citizenship policy. Article 7 strips us from control over our own borders policy. Article 10 restrains our immigration policy. Article 12 forbids us from privatization of pensions system, or even with going voluntarily with public system. I could go on and on with wrongdoings of this treaty. It it not declaration of rights, it's declaration of privileges. Declaration that strips us from power over so many branches of our legislature. If we want to make Talmoria great, we need to regain control over our own country. To regain control, we need to rethink our trade deals and political agreements. This Declaration, in our opinion, is a bad one. We call for immediate withdrawal of the treaty. (Christopher Whitehope, Prime Minister) |
