| Harun Al-Sahel, Minister of Defence: "Hon. Members of Parliament, This is a Program to upgrade the capabilities of the armed forces, which will last for many decades and will maintain our forces always competitive and ready to face any menace or situation. These are the goals of this Program divided for each branch. You will notice that the Navy will require the major interventions, and this is justify by the fact that the Navy is the backbone of our capabilities of projection of the force: Navy: - Beginning of a preliminary study for a new type of Aircraft Carriers (whose finalization will be derogated from a subsequent law) - Upgrading of all the LHD/AAS to ensure the capabilities of the Continental version proposed by Leonardi to Malivia. - Special maintenance and upgrading of the system of all ships in service (excluding those destined to be disarmed and then radiated). - Purchaise of 20 new landing vessels equipped with ample transport capacity which will replace the landing vessels currently aboard of the amphibious units: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engin_de_d%C3%A9barquement_amphibie_rapide - Disarming and radiating older units and replacing them with an up-to-date version with the latest technology of the Multirole Offshore Patrol Vessel [i]Istalia class[/i] for the smaller units while larger units will be replaced by a new class of ships, a guided missile destroyers, already baptized as [i]Imperator class[/i]: http://m.imgur.com/account/Axxell1987/images/9TuYM3i (based on this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_055_destroyer) The first 10 destroyers will replace the six Sol Lucidus class ships and the 4th Pantera class ships. These first ten units will be the basis for the development of other destroyers of this type which will replace in the future the other already active destroyers (the Navy plans to make the Imperator class a true second back bone of the Navy alongside the aircraft carriers). Army: - Increase of divisions for specific environments (arctic battalions, desert divisions, amphibious battalions, mountain divisions, special action teams, etc.) to ensure operation in any situation and environment. - The same new helicopter and giant aircraft which will be developed by the Air Force will be purchaised also by the Army. - New equipment: introduction of the latest versions of the Dragone thank and Lanciere IFV for the renewal of the armored divisions. - Increasing funds to the Electronic Warfare Division. Special division: - New intercontinental ballistic missile for our submarine and our bunker in the north of Alaria and north-west of the peninsula. For the funding of the Program, the Government will provide 1 bln years for the first ten years which will be reduced to 500 million for the subsequent 15 years and then the rest of the production/restyling will be achieved with the ordinary budget. | Message | Beniamino Massa, AI Leader, I would like to also add that intelligence agencies need to be supported and improved too, for internal combat with threats which took the life of CC members, and with foreign threats like the MSRF. |
