Message | Rilvano Rogi, Whip of LP: "LP has always been against an excessive reduction of the Luxury sale tax. We consider this tax as one of the most useful tools to redistribute income, believing also in the fact that the rich indipendently by the tax applied will always continue to buy luxury goods, it is a fact that the luxury section is always relatively touched by crisis or fiscal reforms, this because the rich operate in a what we could call as a "super-economy", which operate with different logic then the economy of the rest of the world. We will decide if support or not this bill. Thank you" |

Message | Beniamino Massa, AI Leader If we decrease the price of the good by lowering tax on it, then the demand of it will naturally increase, meaning more people will have access to the luxury segment, which is responsible for the employment of Many many people. For example how many people are employed in manufacturing a luxury car, and a simple bicycle? The production of what is better for the economy? Obviously the car and the supply of them will increase, should the demand increase. Which it will thanks to the drop in sales tax. |
