Voting deadline: August 4244
Description[?]:
It is important that the people are free to express themselves through media publication and broadcasts. There should no longer be any censorship of ideas. Facts and Truths can be distorted and it is not up to the government to decide if what you are seeing is actually true. Truth is in the eye of the beholder after all. If you do not like an idea or a broadcast, please change the channel. This Action saves the government money through decreased enforcement costs. |

Message | The only freedom i see is the exploitation of people. In a world of fake news, is this sensible? We do not support. |
Date | 10:35:07, July 20, 2017 CET | From | Social Democratic Party | To | Debating the 4244 Freedom of the Press Act |
Message | This is ridiculous on a number of fronts. Fake news presented in the media as fact; harrassment of public officials for tabloid press gossip; porn on television accessible all day long. All of these proposals would be devastating for Mordusian society. - Helen Brady MP, Leader |

Message | As usual the Socialists want to treat our citizens like children. They put no faith at all in the intellegence of our people. People can figure out what is "fake news" and what isn't. Also, it is not a "black and white" issue. People get to decide what they want to believe. It is not up to the government to block certain points of view that they believe are "fake news", Believe it or not, the government is not all knowing and all powerful. This government censorship needs to stop. |
