MessageI have drastically cut government expenditures in pursuit of a balanced budget or budget surplus. I have mainly cut bloated departments that were receiving as much funding as the military, and had a much smaller importance. Much of this funding is cut due to the deregulation and privatization that all parties have supported, meaning a much smaller role for government spending. It would not be fair to the Cildanian people to drive them into debt, which if left unchecked, the last tax cut that passed(proposed by me) would do just that. This spending bill goes hand in hand with my tax cuts to grow the economy and improve the lives of the Cildanian people.

MessageI agree with some budget cuts, but why do you cut 30 bn CDC from Health, 50 bn from Education and Culture and 50 bn from Science. You know, I support the privatization of Infrastructure and Transport and some others' but I think you cut too much. Rethink it

MessageThose departments were getting as much as the military, with much less importance. There is actually evidence that shows that increased spending does not mean increased results. Education cuts resulted from localization of Education, meaning a lesser role for federal spending. Health/Social Services cuts originated from more privatization of health and welfare programs. Science cuts are common sense. The private sector produces much more results in terms of research and development than the public sector ever will, regardless of the amount of money thrown at it. As to Infrastructure and Transport, I support privatization except for some cases of roads.

MessageWe had a balanced budget before you started your series of cuts. You have caused a serious surplus that is paying debts we don't even have.

MessageThe only reason we had a balanced budget before was because I balanced it. Then I reduced the ridiculous taxes we had so we could grow the economy and let the people keep more of their own money. And I'll have to double check but I believe the surplus is only around $15 billion, which pays off the $85 billion dollar deficit in the budget before I balanced it the first time.

MessageI stand corrected, there is a $6 billion deficit. I will address that once this one passes.
