Old value:: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
Current: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
Proposed: Secondary strike action is illegal. Workers and unions can only go on strike for their own pay and conditions.

Old value:: Trade unions are not required by law to hold a ballot before striking.

Message | We agree that the present power of unions and democratic workers councils are a bit heavy handed but these proposals go too far in the other direction. We think that the government should neither encourage or disallow the formation of democratic workers councils and membership should be voluntary. Otherwise we support the right of the people to organize and participate in collective bargaining. |
