Unfortunately, article 1 is a threat to the rule of law. Even though personal freedom is very important, It can not stand in the way of justice.

It is a threat to the proper functioning of our justice system. The proposed articles threaten the integrity and transparency of our democracy and should therewith be defeated.

Message"Article 1 would bring transparency to this country and would allow people to see what politicians and the state are up to and what they're spending taxpayer's money on. It is a depressing state of affairs when the state has to hide 'secrets' from the people. The state should be of the people and governing in the interests of the people.

In regard to Article 2, we believe individuals should have the right to a private life and to remain silent if they wish. While in some cases that may be immoral people should not be denied the right to behave in such a way by the state.

We thank the other parties who have voted in favour of this bill for their support."

MessageFranco Ricollo, MP (Internal Affairs)

The AI Leadership entrusted me to represent the party regarding internal affairs in parliament, and therefore I can say that we strongly support the first article, as it would show where the money goes. However article two would obstruct our judicial system and therefore due to overall visibility we will regretfully vote against this bill.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
