Message | Schools are a place for facts which is why we need religion in them |
Date | 18:42:41, July 27, 2017 CET | From | Tea Party | To | Debating the Secular School Act of 4247 |
Message | For a self proclaimed 'Social Liberal Party' the SLP is not very liberal in matters of religion. |
Date | 19:16:13, July 27, 2017 CET | From | The Capital Party | To | Debating the Secular School Act of 4247 |
Message | The religious schools are regulated to meet national standards. As long as they're meeting the standards, they should be able to operate. |

Message | We are tempted to side with the right-wing parties on this matter; however, we will not be casting a vote unless it is the deciding one. |

Message | As liberals we fully support religious freedom. The fact that some religion set up their own school means that people that do not follow that faith cannot attend that school, and will be discriminated in case that school is the one which is closest or most convenient to them. This is a problem since we consider education to be a basic right for everyone. Education is a right for us all and all our children deserve it in the same conditions. Discriminating children on the basis of their fathers' religion is not what we believe a progressive society should do. It happens to be that the vote of the Social Libertarians is the deciding one. Their vote can put an end on children discrimination, or can allow it to continue. We would appreciate some progressive insight into this issue from their behalf. |

Message | The schools are already heavily regulated so you can deal with discrimination, also religious schools are not the only choice if a parent agrees with you they can send their kid to a secular school |
