| The current number of seats in the legislature is 315; our population is 99,672,460, as of our most recent election. This leads to each Congressman representing ~316,421 citizens. However, if our legislature had 465 seats, this would lead to only 214,349 being represented by each congressman. Approximately 100,000 people for every congressman would be better represented, if there were 465 seats available.
