Date | 08:38:36, July 31, 2017 CET | From | Demokratische Partei Dundorfs | To | Debating the Retirement Age Act 4249 |
Message | We will support. There is no firm evidence to conclude that increasing the retirement age takes jobs away from the young. Those approaching retirement are very often in higher management roles that requires a level of skills, training and experience that youth do not yet possess. Many elderly will likely still retire at 62 or earlier where they have sufficient means to support themselves before reaching pensionable age. Importantly, as time passes, more young Dundorfians are electing to take further study as a means of increasing their employability. This delays their entry into the workforce and creates employment vacancies. |
