Secretly contacting a terrorist organisation that is the biggest opponent of Istalia in the Badaran civil war, and is known to murder innocent people, including Istalian aid workers? If the president does not have a perfect explanation for this we will have to vote in favour of impeachment. We need the smell of treason out of the air. |

| Message | Gianluigi Rosso, President We know about the situation, we know the leaks and we prefer honesty. So here you have your perfect explanation and I swear on the constitution that I say the truth, and nothing but the truth. Point 1: We have been contacted by the conservaive terrorist organization in Badara. Point 2: We have been offered oil and "promotion to power" by the Organization in exchange for arms and Istalian support. Point 3: We despise the socialist government in Badara YET we recognise it as the official government, which was elected and which protects our Istalian citizens there, therefore; Point 4: We have declined the offer, and the Journalists have over blown the speculation on the matter. Point 5: my quote: "No violence. As the president of this coubtry, I will not let ypu meddle in our affairs" Point 5: The LP is aware of the contact and can testify in my favor. To summarize: We have been contacted, we have rejected, LP can testify. I regret only that I even allowed the dialogue with absolute terrorists to occur as I was blinded by ideology. I am sincerely sorry for that. Yet I believe it is not unconstitutional nor is it worth an impeachment. It was a mistake indeed, which was blown out of proportion by the media, I am guilty and sorry on a moral level for contacting killers, but I am not guilty in the eyes of the law and therefore impeachment is unnecessery and even illegitimate. I hope the honorable delegates and the people forgive me for my blindness, but I am still their president and that is why I have woken up out of the situation and made the right decision, condemning terrorism despite my obvious ideological disagreement with their official government. We do not like it but we respect it. In the civil war in Badara, which is absolutely horrid and outrageous, I propose a neutral stance, but the official stance of Istalia is to be still determined by the unified efforts of me, the cabinet and the parliament. Thank you and I am very sorry. |
