Bill: Mordusian Health Service
Details
Submitted by[?]: Communist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 4252
Description[?]:
We propose the state delivers health care for the many in order to reduce the number of preventable deaths often caused by poverty and lack of means to pay for care. The Mordusian Health System will be free at the point of use and is projected to cost 60bn MRD. With the recent tax rises on the poorest citizens we feel it is only fair to have a universal system which protects everyone's right to health care. |

Proposal[?] to change Health care policy.

Message | Mr Speaker We will oppose this bill. We know our poorest citizens got a tax raise. They need to get something in return. But what do we see? This bill doesn't give them anything. They still need to pay for their health care. In our health care bill it is subsidized to every person in our country. Medication is also paid back for the lowest incomes and partially paid back for the higher incomes. We need to offer more to our people. They deserve this as taxes were raised. Message | Why does the MSP want so much government control over everything. We should leave this to the private sector where every service can reach its full potential. Horace Grumsworth President of the Tea Party |

Message | We ask the TP to point to a private healthcare system that works in delivering better healthcare outcomes and lower mortality rates. We do not want the government control everything, but healthcare shouldn't be a commodity and facts show that the market does not deliver an effective and efficient service with better outcomes than the state in this area. The progressive liberals should read the bill before making assumptions. The Mordusian Health System will be free at the point of use, meaning no one will have to pay for healthcare. It is a universal system which protects and covers everyone. If anyone can point to an effective private health care model which has better outcomes and cost effectiveness than a state health care system I would review it. However throughout my research there isnt any. Surely this is a benefit that all Mordusian citizens can enjoy? The bill doesn't remove peoples freedom to continue with their private health care if they choose to. Leanne Plyd Leader of the MSP |
