MessagePutting to one side the fundamental question of whether people should be allowed to "choose" to end an innocent life (answer: no, it is murder), the concept of "choice" does not explain why the government should have to fund them.

There are many things in society which people are free to choose but that doesn't mean the government funds them. So relying purely on "choice" to justify this legislation really masks an undisclosed rationale.
