Description[?]:
WHAT IS THE POLICE PROTECTION ACT? The Police Protection Act. is a proposal to allow the police force to carry better quality weapons. WHY DO WE NEED THIS? Currently members of our police force are disrespected and have barely any defence at all. THEY ARE equipped with a measly little taser, a useless pistol and a 250mL can of pepper spray but that barely defends them and does not help the general public. If there was a terrorist attack, the police could easily stop them by firing a decent aim at them in the name of national security and people wouldn't even dare touch an officer if he was carrying a semiautomatic rifle. Our people can carry concealed weapons so why can't our police do the same? PROPOSED COSTINGS Due to an upgrade of police firearms and equipment we will have an increase of 1 billion MRD to cover these costs and after two years we will no longer need that funding. ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS? Absolutely. The weapons must only be used in aid of self-defence and to stop criminals. If the police use it for any other purpose and it is reported by the general public and will be sent to court and will likely be charged. The prison term will be 10 years if a member of the police force violates this rule. WILL THIS AFFECT ANYONE? The only people this bill will effect are the police and potential criminals. The police will be better protected and will be able to defend themselves from criminals. Horace Grumsworth President of Mordusia |
