Description[?]:
Currently, the school system works like this; depending on where you live, you must go to a certain school chosen by the local government based upon area or if you are fortunate enough, you may be able to choose between a public or private school. Many public schools do not stimulate children's minds and often teach up to or below standards and is a failing system which many parents don't agree with but are forced to comply. But what if schools had to compete with each other, just like businesses do, and attract parents based upon the quality of the schools? If schools work hard and make sure that the children are getting the best out of their children's learning, then parents would absolutely enjoy letting their children go to those schools. This is why we are introducing the School Choice Act. which will work like this: 1. The whole education system is privatised and every school is independent to one another. 2. Disadvantaged families (any family not earning over 50,000 MRD) are given school vouchers which cover 85% of schooling fees and make the best choice for their child. 3. Schools compete with each other and show parents who has the best teaching methods and education standards. This will ensure the best choice for children in Mordusia and will make sure that children have the best opportunities and education. To cover education costs, current public school funding and an extra 5 billion MRD will go towards covering school costs for our children after all, education is this nation's backbone. Horace Grumsworth President of Mordusia |

Message | It is not cheaper to open public education facilities. Firstly teachers unions force teachers to pay dues whether or not they wish to be part of the union and secondly, the government pays over 25 billion just on funding public schools, if this policy was implemented 20 billion would be spent on the vouchers program and the increase in budget would go towards other education expenses such as tuition or so forth. - President Grumsworth |

Message | Its astonishing that the libertarian parties don't get the simple fact that profit = deficit. I would rather pay teachers more money than have a business keep them lower in order to make a profit. Leanne Plyd Leader of the MSP |

Message | We support this as it will help poorer students, however not all poor students parents could afford some fee's. We will propose our own legislation when we deem the time to be right. |
