Bill: Security Council Seat B 4255

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dundorfer Bund der Nationalisten

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4257

Description[?]:

The DDR Government had backed Istalia for seat B. A policy change is in order. We suggest changing the vote to Deltaria. Istalia has shown its annoyance by interfering in other nations business. It has also been in the security council for far too long. It is time for a change.

MessageWhile we don't oppose switching to Deltaria, there's no real reason why we should leave Istalia behind, they've done a good job promoting international cooperation, help, justice and good-will.

MessageWould the DNA consider being completely honest and upfront about the reason behind this 'policy change' as they've called it?

I can only imagine the reason is that Istalia has condemned this government in the General assembly of the World Congress for reintroducing slavey in Dundorf: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=7498&start=80#p119799

MessageWe're voting against, since the FPD provided reasonable evidence.

MessageGiven that Istalia's condemnation post-dated this bill by several months, I can only assume the FPD believes the DNA has mastered the art of time travel. But then, we already know the FPD has a tenuous relationship with reality.

[Rambunctious laughter throughout the chamber.]

MessageI'm not vehemently opposed to a change in our nominee for Seat B, however the DNA have provided no reasoning behind their support for Deltaria.

MessageOOC: I suspect a slight obstacle with these Security Council seats is that none of us has particularly good reasons to pick one country over another ... I wouldn't have a clue how to evaluate the varying claims.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar).
