Bill: Religious Salary De-Nationalization Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Plaid Ffederaliaeth a Rhyddid
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 4258
Description[?]:
Aloria, for the most part, is a bastion of freedom of religion. However, this bill seeks to correct one of the few exceptions to this. Ministers of religion should be remunerated by their own religious organizations, not the state. |

Old value:: The salaries and pensions of ministers of religion shall be borne by the state and regulated by the law.
Current: The salaries and pensions of ministers of religions shall be regulated by the law, but shall be borne by the religious communities themselves.
Proposed: The state does not intervene in the remuneration of ministers of religion.

Message | It is also worth noting that, under current law, the state intervenes in no way in the appointment of religion. Nor is there a national church. So, no only does the current situation fly in the face of religious freedom, but the state is paying people while having no input in their appointment. |
