Voting deadline: August 4263
Description[?]:
The laws of the Commonwealth have been bent a bit to far with the noble hopes of bettering workers and the common man. These policies have been pushed to the extent that we have made Rutania a place that is not friendly toward business owners and entrepreneurs. Our policies need to be moderated to provide an environment where capitalism can flourish. A healthy market and not an overzealous over involved government is the only hope a free people have at prosperity. This Assembly has already made great strides toward improving the market in Rutania with the Tax reform passed in late 4262, we ask the Peoples Assembly to continue this progress and unanimously approve this measure to aid the merchants of the land and thus aid the people themselves. Our policies have become twisted so much that certain industries cannot survive in this nation, is it really sensible to have a minimum wage 'well above the poverty line', well beyond what is needed to support a family of 4? And all this for jobs like fast food worker, or simply cutting grass, is this really sensible? Should we really set a cap to how much one can earn? What message does that send to innovators and entrepreneurs whose ideas and companies could change world? We are sending the message that Rutania isn't the place for you. We must end these policies. -Frank Bennett -GCU Minority Whip |
