Message | One counter argument would be that prison is punishment and prisoners should not be receiving compensation for work, voluntary or not. Another issue with these sorts of programs is that inmates work for next to nothing performing menial tasks that are incredibly unlikely to boost their job prospects upon release. Prison education schemes are far more effective at minimising the chance of recidivism and future welfare dependence. |

Message | (1) They need to get money just like other people, prison is punishment, but it shouldn't hinder them later in life. (2) Both prison work and education can be performed at the same time, prisoners have to learn to make time tables, it's not about experience, but how productive their time in prison is, even though it's a penalty, they should at lease be allowed to make some money. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
