Never have I ever said anything about 'pride in soil' or pride in other people's achievements. | Message | *Laughs at David Honnor's statements* Let's first make one fact clear the fetus is a living human being but is just developing, ask any scientist and they will tell you that. Now, you recently stated that this bill is an attack on women, presumably because you believe that a woman has every right to choose what happens to her body and we believe the same thing: Every woman has a right to her own body. However, we have 100 female members of the Tea Party serving in the Congress and every Tea Party member supports this bill. Let me tell you another fact; a fetus is not part of a woman's body, it is INSIDE OF her body, developing and growing hence why we say "Hey, how's the baby?" instead of "Hey, how's the body?". Here's a question for you; if a woman is allowed to kill her own child via abortion legally, then why is it that if I was to do something to the woman and the baby died I would be charged with homicide? Isn't that quite ironic? Here's another fact; 15% of abortions are carried out for rape, incest or for the survival of the mother. These are instances where abortions are necessary: these are medical emergencies, true abortions which are perfectly moral. So what happens to the other 85% of cases. The mother does not decide whether or not the worth of life, it is society that determines it. Society values life extremely, for babies will eventually become our future. Why would a mother want an abortion? Perhaps she prefers boys over girls? Here's another question; if scientists developed a way to determine whether or not a child would be straight or gay, would you allow mothers to abort gay children simply because they did not want to experience bringing up a gay child? That is quite discriminatory and happens all the time but with different genders. Stop lying to yourself Mr. Honnor, there is no way to get your way out of this one: Abortions are immoral and a class of murder unless there is a legitimate reason (which should fall under either; rape, incest of protecting the life of a woman) for the abortion. - President Grumsworth |
