MessageFrau Lubbers,

Saving all that taxpayers money for what? We haven't seen any plans or ideas of the KP what they have in mind with the huge surplus.

The SED are in full support of this budget. The SED consider this as an important investment to develop our nation towards a greener, healthier and better defended society for generations to come.

MessageHere is the problem with the SED's proposal.

You are now proposing a 100 billion DUM increase in spending, which means that the accumulated surplus will run out in 3.5 years.

So what are you going to do in 3 years? Either you will need to dramatically slash public spending, or you will need to dramatically lift taxes on everybody. That will create a huge shock to the economy.

We agree that there is the possibility of running a budget deficit. But it needs to be responsible. Our policies, unlike yours:
(1) will cut taxes across the board: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=536595;
(2) will increase spending at a sustainable level: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=536599; and
(3) will ensure that Dundorf continues to have an accumulated surplus for at least the next 9 years.

- Alexandra Lubbers, finance spokesperson for the Konservative Partei.

MessageIt's good to see that the KP returned from their "wintersleep" but it did them not much good.
[laughter from the SED benches]

Every minister will propose it's plan. The first is already presented concerning the environment,

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer.
