OOC: This (re)establishes the traditional Pontesian orders of old. They may be given by the government to anyone if a two-thirds majority of the cabinet agrees. However, the two must prestigious titles requires a knighting by the Head of State and are thus subject to his or her veto.

AFFIRMING the existence of outstanding individuals that form time to time rise to lead our nation to greatness, and whose actions are a blessing for us all

RECOGNIZING the grand history of the Pontesian Knightly Orders and the need for the government to reward certain great individuals for outstanding accomplishments

WE SOLEMNLY RE-ESTABLISH the following Law on Knighthood in the Pontesian Dynastic Commonwealth:

I. The following are a list of the possible honours (in precedence - the top honour being the most prestigious):

I) Lord Guardian of the Cedar Throne: LGCT may be used after the person's name or 'Lord Guardian' before.

II) Knight of the Commonwealth: KC may be used after the person's name or 'Lord (Knight)' before.

III) Order of the Pontesian Dynastic Commonwealth: OPC may be used after the person's name or Sir before

IV) Member of the Pontesian Dynastic Commonwealth: MPC may be used after the person's name

II. These may be granted to any individual, citizen or not, four his or her outstanding services to the Pontesian People by the Government of the Pontesian Dynastic Commonwealth. This requires the approval from at least two-thirds of the Government's cabinet members.

III. The Titles of Lord Guardian of the Cedar Throne and Knight of the Commonwealth require a knighting from the Princely Head of State, thus - they are naturally subject to His or Her Most Serene veto.

IV. The Government of the Pontesian Dynastic Commonwealth will recognize the need for the Patrician class to receive some form of recognition for their position in society. They shall have the right to hold fiefs where they may act as landlords and present bills to the August Senate no matter political association or lack thereof.

V. A Basic Law may be revised by a two-thirds majority in the August Senate of the Cedar Throne.
