Bill: Rehabilitation & Education Act 2190
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2191
Description[?]:
When something is broken, but can be fixed, what is the point of throwing it away? We can and must rehabilitate criminals, even that this level, so that they can produce and become productive and valuable members of our society. Killing such people serves no purpose. One only needs to look the ancient lands of the Americas to see the total and utter failure of a threat of capital punishment. We should also think about those innocent peoples who are convicted in error and end up dead. |

Message | I disagree with both measures. We must execute those who have proven incapable of functioning in society. And I see nothing wrong with extradition. |

Message | We agree only with one. Please introduce article two in a separate measure, or you will not have our support. |

Message | We disagree with both measures as well. |
Date | 22:03:41, February 24, 2006 CET | From | New Theta | To | Debating the Rehabilitation & Education Act 2190 |
Message | NPP, would you execute those with emotional disturbances ("mental illnesses") if they prove "incapable of functioning in society"? And, considering our open borders, and recent rulings, I find it hard to believe such conservative opinions on extradition. |

Message | "NPP, would you execute those with emotional disturbances ("mental illnesses") if they prove "incapable of functioning in society"?" Much of the mentally ill are proven to have use to society, and if the execution of the mentally ill through eugenics ended mental illness I would support it. |
