Description[?]:
Comrades, Wolfhard Lorenz was sentenced to imprisonment under a dark cloud, with lots of unanswered questions about what was really going on, and about what the role was of other senior individuals, including prominent politicians and security service members. Now, just after being released from prison, Lorenz has been murdered. It is reported that he had been working on a book, which would have given the full side to his story. The manuscript for his book, we are informed, was stolen at the same time he was murdered. It is my strong view that the police and the security services cannot be trusted to get to the bottom of this. There are sinister vested interests involved here. I therefore propose the establishment of an independent, judge-led public inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of Wolfhard Lorenz. Perhaps this way, the truth will finally come out. Message | While we may disagree on some specifics of the case, the justice ministry endorses this measure and will begin proceedings once this bill has passed. Ideally we can get answers before the next election. Cindy Kirchen Coleader of Pragmatismus Minister of Justice |

Message | The police must work without interruption. Their investigation is underway, and any public inquiry should not infringe on their investigation. Secret Service is likely also to investigate, given Lorenz's former role in their organisation. What I'm saying is that we must ensure justice is done in the right way, and not let too many cooks spoil the broth. Hans Gluck Minister for Defence NP Leader |

Message | OOC: for context, Lorenz was my former Co-Leader and Minister for Defence, who was shrouded in mystery and rumour but basically just blackmailed everyone, had secret plans that nobody knows about and was a former Secret Service agent in his youth. Basically a full on bond villain. Adler Drumpf was the Chancellor, blamed by Lorenz for working with him but never prosecuted. It's all on the forum somewhere. Shall I write up the results of an inquiry if this passes? :p |
