Bill: D.d.l. 01/4292 - Vigilante II Budget

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lega Giusnaturalistica

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4293

Description[?]:

Aidano Cesaro, Minister of Finance:

"This is a much-needed adjustment to right the Istalian economy. There are a few cuts to the overall level of spending of a number of agencies, to better reflect current governmental obligations and to balance our budget.

Firstly, the Head of Government, Foreign Affairs, and Internal Affairs will all take a small haircut to fight bloat in the system. Next, reflecting the heavy privatization of our infrastructure and transportation system, we will be taking money away from pet projects and returning it to the people of Istalia.

Health will be privatized in this cabinet, and so will parts of culture. This is a first step towards reengaging the free markets to provide for Istalians needs. We will also continue to see culture as a regional or private issue - not a national one. Finally, we take a bit away from the environment and provide it to Agriculture and Trade/Industry, which can better implement reforms with this money."

“Cut on Head of Government, Foreign affairs, internal affairs, infrastructure and transport, health, environment and tourism for a little bit of money on agricolture and some more on Industry. Is this worth? Furthermore, at the end of the day, we will lose about 8 billions of LIS. So my answer is no, this is definitely not worth.”

MessageStefano Romulani, Whip of LP:

"There will be a further thinning of our budget and so less and less funds for our services already underfunded... at least not for a secondary economic sector like the agriculture which we believe however was adeguately supported yet under one of the recent previous Governments... so we vote against!"

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand
