Bill: D.d.l. 02/4293 - Tax Cuts for All Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lega Giusnaturalistica

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 4294

Description[?]:

Aidano Cesaro, Minister of Finance:

"Following the successful passage of the Vigilante II Budget, I am honored to introduce this tax plan which will lower rates for all Istalians while keeping a balanced budget in sight.

This plan will keep over 7 billion lira in the pockets of the Istalian public - that is an average of 70 lira per year per person. While this isn't a huge difference, it will certainly benefit all classes of Istalian society and serve as an economic stimulus.

This plan doesn't favor the rich or the poor, instead we maintain a graduated income tax and lower every bracket's percentage by 1 or 2 points. This is the plan Istalia needs, and the plan Istalia deserves!"

MessageStefano Romulani, Whip of LP:

"Really the Minister really consider this as a gift for ALL istalian? We see only a huge gift for the highest class, with a further movement of the burden of the national budget on the lower classes! It is disconcerting of the calcule capabilities of the Minister, which despite the different treatment in the cuts, decide to take the total of the cuts and divide it equally.
The reality is that the people who already today make more efforts to make ends meet will minimally benefit of this "cuts for all", while those who already today have more, will have even more and will be the real winners of this fiscal measure.
More and more discorcenting is to see the Farmer's party, which says to defend the interests of the farmers, which only few years ago they were defending the farmers, showed as an impoverished class in need of protection and of subsides. Well done! Your dear farmers will be among the ones which will experienced less benefits by this cuts. Evidently the "farmers" you represent, are the landlords and the agrifood companies.
And the PNP, so pround of its populism... the party close to the istalian simple hard workers, to the families and their little provincial store and so on, to whom you are simply saing: " chosing to who cut more between you and those that have even ten times your wealthy, we choose you!" Congratulations...
Talk about progressive taxation appling in effect a regressive principles for the cuts! You know very well how sell pot! "

MessageOOC: I searched how to translate "vendere fumo": I found this expression, but then I found simply "sell smoke". The sayings in english are really hard, because often are totally different from equivalent italian sayings.

But in general... I wrote that message with the foot! :O A better version is on my latest article on the forum's newspaper
