Message | Stefano Romulani, Whip of LP: "the istalian unemployed should thank you for having make them even closer to the conditions of slaves? And Mr Votta,'will probably"? You are betting on the skin of our workers Mr Votta! How can the wages increase in the current istalian situation, with thousands of immigrants coming from less developed nations? The reality is that the wages will only decrease, will decrease the level of Consumption, the prices of the goods will never decrease as you expected, because nobody can force the employeers to do so (especially if they agreed together to avoid a low-ball war) and the only to gain will be the employeers! About the employed level, most part of the most recent research clearly showed that there are almost not correlation between minimum wage and unemployement level. If you want to bet, we suggest you to not do it on the skin of the istalians!" |

Message | Demetrio Votta, PNP Speaker for Finance, This is indeed a gamble, as Istalian employers and employees have been oppressed by the minimum wage for so long, and Economics is not math, the theory does not always relate into practice. HOWEVER this is a gamble that I am willing to make for the prosperous future of Istalia! This party will always stand for the doctrine to NOT make the rich poorer, which you seemingly intend to do, but the poor richer! That is the goal and this bill will ensure it. |
