Message | A child need a maternal and paternal parent. May we point out that this allows single people to adopt children, which is not only a stress on them but will mean the child is likely to have less parent-child time as a child, hindering their emotional and psychological growth. Message | We are proud to support this legislation. Same-gender couples, and also single persons, can provide wonderful homes for children to grow up in. Adoption agencies should focus on finding the best possible home for each child, not discriminating against people on the basis of their background. Message | Mr.Speaker, I am Lesbian and Why Shouldn't me and my spouse be allowed to adopt children? No Research has ever shown that Parenting by Same Gender Couples is worse than parenting by a heterosexual couple and i can say that from a Professional View as a Doctor.Though i am Happy that this Bill is about to pass,I am still worried about the level of homophobia and xenophobia within political parties in this country. Thank you, Dr.Erica Peters, Minister of Health and Social Services |

Message | It is good to hear from Dr. Erica Peters on this subject, as what she says is well worth listening to. There is no reason to suppose two women, or two men, or a single person are incapable of providing a child with a good home. The attitude of some of the politicians here is simply prejudiced. Anton Weinreich General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
