Description[?]:
Heij\'ibadejogadé Nkaé Hjadjogad: The former Sultan-Consort of Barmenistan, Juliana Mede, is now on trial for treason. Given that she is a Selucian citizen and a High Priestess of Religio Seluciana, I think it would make sense for Selucia to intervene in the matter. http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4293&start=270#p124155 She was married to a Thaller, and her kids are thus half-Thaller. But her own dynasty is the Medes. She is a Selucian citizen. During the Barmenian Refugee Crisis the main Mede branch fled to Selucia, where Selucian Paganism recognized them as High Priests. This Mede branch had been living in Selucia for over four hundred years, until they returned to Barmenistan and Juliana married one of the Barmenian Thallers. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs have replied the following: I'll inform the Government about this an will come to you with further answer. Currently In Marea-Civis Sinistram only holds the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but is subject to the authority of Partis Imperialis as Head of Government. At the moment, the most we will be able to do due to the current international situation is probably asking for her to be judged in Selucia of for a fair judge with Selucian observers. However, it would be a difficult situation as: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4293&start=260#p122879 Deltaria has also left a message. I would like to be informed about how should I proceed Yannis Hellada, Minister of Foreign Affairs |

Message | Response to the Deltarian Government: Deltarian Government, members of the Deltarĭsko Věšte, We understand that, as a Thaller, is your right and your objective to protect a member of your family. However, the Sultanate has carried some actions in Barmenia that should not be forgotten, and the harsh words the Sultanate directed to not our Government, but our nation, were a deep offence to every Selucian she claims to be. We believe in the separation of powers, at least in the Res Publica Seluciae and therefore, we believe that in a trial in our nation, everything will be clarified. She shall not be granted a special status to enter Selucia, which is currently closing its borders and only allowing 100 people per day to enter the nation. If after a judge decides she is innocent, she may be allowed to live freely in Selucia, of course. The current situation is delicated and we have to wait further response from the rest of members of the Government. Yannis Hellada, Selucian Minister of Foreign Affairs |

Message | Message from the Barmenian Thallers to the Government of Selucia We plead to the Selucian Republic to welcome the return of Juliana Mede and her child, Shb Set, to their ancestral lands. Whatever dispute there may have been between the Barmenian and Selucian governments, Juliana Mede and her son Set Jrl-Banmek-Sntazed-Mede have never had any impact on Sultanate policy and foreign affairs. If the Selucian government wishes to blame anyone for the deterioration of relations between the Sultanate and the Selucian Republic, then blame the Twin Sultans. Juliana Mede was the Sultan-Consort, and as such she had no official capacity within the Sultanate. As a Selucian citizen and High Priestess of Selucia's second largest religion, it is her wish to be allowed to return to the nation in which she was born and in which her family has resided for centuries. Shb Set himself is merely 16 years of age, and as such he cannot possibly be blamed for any policy or action undertaken by the Twin Sultanates. The Jrl (Thaller) household remains hopeful that the Republic of Selucia will show mercy and kindness to one of her citizens, the same kindness that was shown four hundred years ago when Selucia opened her arms to Barmenian Felinists fleeing genocide. Shb Zahr von Thaller Spokesman of the Jrl-Banmek-Sntazed household |

Message | We believe she deserves a fair trial here in Selucia, as she is a Selucian. If you could arrange this between the two nations, that would be great, but if not, at least arrange a fair trial in Deltaria. If she is tried in Barmenia, we fear the outcome would be very biased and would lead to her execution. Best of luck. Brutus Diocletianus, Partis Imperialis |
