MessageMr Speaker,

I today propose a budget amendment to allow LOD 2bn to be contributed to the global fight to cure Wolfsheim Plague, which is killing millions across the globe. It has not reached our land, and a treatment must be available before it does.

We propose the LOD 2bn shall break down as follows:

- LOD 1bn from within Science & Technology, by redirecting existing medical and biological research.
- LOD 500m from health, with the aim to spend now to save later.
- LOD 250m transferred from Environment & Tourism, due to the current reduction in international travel and likely public safety concerns should the plague reach Lodamun.
- LOD 250m from our recurrent budget surplus.

We look for urgent support from the other parties so that these funds can be contributed forthwith.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "The true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality." - Che Guevara
