Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:

Message | Article 1 - An odd number of legislators will break ties and prevent legislative standstill. Article 2 - A slight reduction of the terms served by the government will prevent the abuse of power associated with long terms. Article 3 - Mentally ill people can commit actions that would be considered serious crimes if committed by non-mentally ill people, and some are even known to cause harm to themselves, such as those with Tourette's Syndrome. The detainment of some mentally ill people is justified not because we want them off of the streets, but because they deserved to be cared for and rehabilitated. Article 4 and 5 - The increase in corporations' taxes will amount to enough revenue to make the tax on essential goods unnecessary. Article 7 - Monopolies, prevent people's participation and competition in a democratic society where everyone is supposed to have and equal chance at life. The government must step up and take action to dissolve all monopolies. |

Message | There already is a bill that would reduce political terms to 48 months, so we have removed that article from this bill. |
