Voting deadline: August 4303
Description[?]:
With a heavy heart, the Party of the Populus has determined that the current President Dr Wewecho Pantafloja, is unfit to serve as the head of state of the Republic of Beluzia. He has endangered the security of our nation by making inflammatory remarks in diplomatic settings and in social media. He treats government like some sort of plaything that he can treat like he treats his friends, of which he does not have many. His party has proposed ridiculous bills that he already knows no one will agree to for his own enjoyment, and he has opposed several bills without giving adequate reasons and merely out of spite for the opposition, with which he is not willing to cooperate or compromise. The process of impeachment is a weighty process: the future of the country will be changed. But we are sure that the change will be for better than worse. In order to begin the impeachment process, the Republic of Beluzia must withdraw from the Republican International Pact, of which we are the only ratifier. This will allow for the office of the President to become symbolic and hereditary; at least Pantafloja will enjoy being some sort of a symbol of our country. But the power of the head of state will also be performed by the head of government, who currently is someone competent and skilled to represent the country in foreign places and on the Internet. This bill will also be a measure to see if other parties are in support of this impeachment motion. Democratically, if this bill is not passed, then impeachment will not proceed. -Party of the Populus |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
