Bill: Paramilitary Legilisation Act 4304

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Sozial Nationale Volkspartei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4305

Description[?]:

Legalising paramilitary's will allow our state to be protected in case of a enemy incursion. When our military is disabled or taken down we can rely on paramilitary's to ensure our chance of keeping our nation together will remain high. Ofcourse these paramilitaries should be regulated and monitored so none of them may cross the line. This will be done by the government.

TGP Chairman for the Rat

MessageA bizarre and stupid idea, which would undoubtedly lead to armed rebellion.

There is no way that our military will simply be 'taken down'. By allowing political armies, you don't help defend our country. Why not just invest more in our military? Why risk our national safety for an impossible circumstance?

MessageThese organizations would be heavily regulated by the government. Which will make sure no armed rebellion could ever take place as the government could intervene when necessary.

MessageBut if the military is 'taken down', the paramilitaries can do whatever they want! They can join our invaders and help kill us!

And may I just state that this is the least like scenario of all time. You're acting actually more insane that Mr Balloon Man from the DKP, I mean it's crazy. The idea that one of the best militaries in the world can just be destroyed is fanciful. There is nobody that could or would invade us and destroy our military. Hulstria certainly couldn't. Why not just invest in the military? Why risk armed rebellion?

MessageMr. Chairman,

This is a highly irresponsible proposal that would create a serious risk of civil unrest on the streets. There should be no place for paramilitary organisations in Dorvik.

MessageThe Communists would probably form an uprising.

Let’s make Dorvik’s national military stronger, not give it to our enemies.

MessageMr. Chairman,

The Dorvish Communist Party is firmly committed to achieving communism within the context of a constitutional and democratic framework. I acknowledge this point may have been less clear in the earlier part of our history, but it should be very clear now. We are not going to have anything to do with attempts to overthrow legitimately elected governments.

General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party

Yet again, we see the venom with which Alex Gluck and the National Party despise the working-classes.

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play.
